POWER MOMENT WEDNESDAY A fella named Moses (in Hebrew is Moshe) is known for several Bible stories: his birth and rescue from the Nile, the burning bush where God is speaking, and confronting Pharaoh the King.
NUGGET: “There is Power in Knowing & Showing”. Moses spoke “God’s command directly”, in Exodus 5:1 “Let my people go,” was the ultimate act of speaking truth to Power.
Today, What are you not speaking that God has commanded of you?
And yes, Pharaoh refused and said he did not know Yahweh (LORD God in Hebrew).
The consequences were severe: Pharaoh’s refusal led to a series of plagues on Egypt, including water turning to blood, frogs, flies, boils, darkness, and finally the death of the firstborn.
Pharaoh also hardened his stance, initially making the Israelites’ labor even harsher, and in the end he let them leave only after the final plague and then pursued them, leading to the destruction of his army in the sea.
The climax is when Moses parted the Red Sea, and then leading Israel across & through the wilderness.
Again, What are you NOT speaking that God has commanded of you?
